Not another food blog?! So yes...more food! (sorry, not sorry!) Today is International Chocolate Cake Day. That's my kind of day! So this morning I have made a yummy chocolate cake ready for dessert tonight (although it may end up getting started at lunchtime instead). It just seemed the right thing to do! What's your favourite type of chocolate cake? Are you making one today? Send me over a picture of your yummyness and I'll pop it in here for everyone to see. Chocolate cake is like sticking a load of extra fat on our hips for so many of us right?! Not for me today! Have you come across the Silhouette Capsules that I rave about yet? They bind some of the fat in foods while in your tummy so it passes straight through you rather than being absorbed into your body. My number one trick for a diet cheat day! I'll pop a link below to my silhouette page so you can have a little nosey. SILHOUETTES <-- Click here! Did you say facial?!Stepping aside from the cake theme a little, now is a perfect time to announce my new treatment which will be coming very soon! Facials! I will soon be up and running to bring facials to you in your home. I am excited to tell you that I have found the most beautiful range of facial products which are all handmade, amazing quality and all natural. Our first 'flavour' to launch with will be COCOA ROSE - including a chocolate mask. Following along behind it in the future I'm looking forward to a zesty LEMON DRIZZLE and delicious ETON MESS range! Now, form a queue, these facials are going to be amazing and leave your homes smelling beautiful too! More info with prices will follow as soon as everything is in place to get you booked in. Kelly x

Some I'm at risk of turning into a foodie blog here but I had to share this one with you all! Another slow cooked wonder. Imagine a lamb doner kebab - but made with fresh ingredients and you know exactly what has gone into it!! AND it's waaaay cheaper than a visit to the kebab shop. I had some of the spices and herbs in the cupboard/fridge so in all I think it cost me around about £5 and it more than happily fed 3 of us plus the dog. I've not been into a kebab shop for years but I'm guessing that's about the price of 1 kebab? So anyway, here's my adaptation of the recipe... Enjoy folks! Let me know how you get on with it!
Kelly x I just had to share this quick recipe with you. Throw it all together, don't worry about measuring too carefully, and leave to cook for the rest of the day. Delicious! Kelly x
So I wanted to start off the blog with something I've grown up with, I know it inside out and it's a real love for all of my family. What better to start with than APPLES?! Today (Friday 6th January 2017) is APPLE TREE DAY!! Did you know that? I didn't! The origin of the day is from the celebration of one particular old apple tree that was nearly 200 years old. Nowadays it is more a celebration of the fruit itself. Banfield's Farm is only small but have over 15 different varieties of apples! Whether you like a classic cooking apple like the Bramley or something a bit different like La Flamboyant I know we have something that you'll love. With so many good health benefits there really is nothing not to love. A medium apple is less than 95calories too making it a perfect healthy snack. My favourite recipe for apples (other than a yummy apple crumble) is a Spiced Toffee Apple Cake! Click HERE so give it a try yourself (thank you to BBC Good Food for this one). What's you're favourite variety? Let me know in the comments below Kelly x |
