I have a passion for beauty & farming (yes a strange mix I know!) which is how I ended up where I am today, doing what I am doing.
After spending years in a couple of office jobs and learning how to manage and organise businesses I decided it was time to do it for myself!
I started out with my mobile beauty business in 2009 doing nails and spray tanning, I'm still here today doing what I love but with so much more practice, training and hugely improved products compared to back then. I only use the best products I can find, the ones that I know work and I believe in! My favourite part of this business is making people feel good about themselves.
Having grown up on our family farm and been involved with helping out (possibly hindering at times too!) since I can remember, in 2014 I decided to leave the office behind me and take on a farm manager position at Banfield's Farm in Horsmonden. We are growing from strength to strength and continuing my grandparents hard work to produce the best fruit that we possibly can for our on site farm shop. We also enter the annual National Fruit Show, I started doing this when I was just six and have continued alongside my Grandad ever since.
2015 was a year of excitement for our family, as our beautiful little Jessica arrived on the scene. I took a very short break with her but many of my clients have been kind enough to let me bring her along to their appointments when she was little right through to now when she's around during the school holidays.
When Covid-19 hit us is 2020 I found myself with no beauty business for long periods due to enforced shut downs. Alongside the 'wonderful', time consuming, job of homeschooling (I am definitely not cut out to be a teacher!) I decided to take the opportunity to explore my crafty side and have been making things ever since. My website has changed somewhat recently to incorporate this and the shop section is now filling up with some handmade crafts. The products I have chosen to make and advertise are always ones I love myself (check out the dogs range!). Lockdown has definitely brought on a passion for what we can get locally and crafting has given me a lot of peace.
My lovely little lady, Jessica, is always my why! She's the reason I push my business and expand to include more, every little milestone I reach is another something for her future. She of course likes to take advantage of what I do with only the best bath products and getting her nails painted with nail art at every available opportunity!! She loves what I do as much as I do I think, not only is she chief box opener (a problem come Christmas) but would also like to me 'a nail lady' when shes older - along side being a doctor and a vet too. Seem expectations are very high at the grand old age of 7! She has even created her own little range of products which are handmade by her - check them out HERE).
They say variety is the spice of life - I definitely have that!
